東日本大震災に関して
murmur recordsではこの度の東北地方太平洋沖地震に関して、
僅かではありますが、３月分の売り上げ金の一部を差し当たり、yahoo基金から寄付させて頂きます。
物資がいいかとも思いましたが、現地には物資を仕分ける人員も足りないとの事、
それならば長期的に見て、いつでも必要な物に変えられる金銭が一番役に立つだろうと考えました。
復興までには長い年月が必要です。
私たちはその為に私たちに何が出来るか、継続して考えていきたいと思います。

深く眠れぬ日々が続いております。
この度の震災には、発生から現在までただただ呆然とし、
自然の脅威と、私たちの暮らしのあり方、とりわけ電力について深く考えさせられました。
私たち首都圏の人間が使う電力を作る為に、地方に発電所を置く。
その考え方は私はやはり間違っていると思います。電力会社が独占状態なのもおかしいと思います。
この巨大に電力を消費し、地方の方々の安全な生活を搾取した、
その上に成り立っている私たちの生活を一から再考する必要に迫られているのではないでしょうか？
私はもう、今まで通りの電力が復帰するのを望みません。
原発は人間がコントロールするにはあまりに大き過ぎます。
津波や地震で亡くなられた犠牲者の方々のご冥福を心からお祈りしています。
遺族の方々が笑顔を取り戻す日を願って。

Colour of Quantum ー Lucia H Chung + Yuki Aida
Lucia H. Chung is a Taiwanese sound artist quickly becoming known as one of London's top minimalists.
Yuki Aida is the Japanese sound artist, composer, guitarist and label owner who is building a diverse catalogue of releases that include,electronica, noise, drone and dance music.
This collaboration was born from a theme that is also its title "Colour of Quantum." The record is a direct outgrowth of a series of talks between the artists that developed like a chain reaction with each one producing one disc while also contributing to and altering their colleague's work.
This limited production run of 80 copies includes serial numbers and recordings of live performances from Tokyo and London as bonus tracks.

Surface tension ー i8u
Surface tension is a new "sound sculpture" from renown audio installation artist i8u aka France Jobin. Based on field recordings taken from Canada and the EU, the prolific Jobin freely integrates digital, analog, glitch and drone into a field of aural vision that simultaneously exhibits micro and macro perspectives on a complex, yet inviting, environmental theme.
i8u's art is about juxtapositions, analogue to digital, aural to visual,
technological to philosophical. Her installations can often be experienced in live events and festivals across the Canada, the United States, South America and Europe.

REQUILE/(RE)NEW(ED) is a wonderful new ambient project by Belgian techno producer Ozka aka David Nizet. The artist, who has previously released abstract works on Italy's Tibprod and the U.K.'s Filament Recordings, continues to expand his palette by thoroughly embracing the experimental and, equally important, philosophical schools of electronic music.
Requile was created as an aural response to Autre Monde, Maxime Chattam's fantastical trilogy of an alternative universe in which nature rules. The planet's surface is covered by an ocean of forests, populated byfabulous creatures and travelled by mysterious waves of new energy. (RE)NEWED is a very successful experiential audio translation into abstract textures, microscopic crackles and field recordings that converge into a sensation of exploration and movement.
The appropriately delicate packaging was designed by Emi Aida, Murmur Record's director of art and photography. The nine track CDR was mastered by Murmur owner Yuki Aida.
